No, the selection for further admission rounds in VIT Chennai MBA admissions can be done through NMAT/GMAT/XAT score if a candidate hasn’t applied for CAT. If a candidate hasn’t applied for CAT 2024 they can go through the other entrance exams for MBA at VIT Chennai.Candidates can appear for CAT/NMAT/GMAT/XAT and can use scores of any of these exams to apply for admission into the VIT Chennai MBA. It is important to note that the entrance exam is only the first step in the admission process of VIT Chennai.

Yes, VIT Chennai MBA admissions are merit-based but they are not done based on merit secured in the entrance exams and graduation. The entrance exam and graduation score allow candidates to be selected for the Personal Interview (PI) rounds.A merit list is then released of candidates clearing the PI round, it is according to this merit that provisional admissions into VIT Chennai MBA take place. Therefore, candidates will have to clear multiple rounds to finalise their admission into the programme.
