During 2023 Placement, VIT Chennai saw impressive placement statistics, with the highest package of INR 102 LPA and the average package of INR 8-9 LPA. The highest package for MBA out of VIT Chennai, GLIM Chennai, and XIME Chennai for placements in 2024 was secured by VIT Chennai, the highest package at the institute stood at INR 59 LPA. It was INR 37 LPA and INR 14.40 LPA for GLIM Chennai and XIME Chennai, respectively.VIT Chennai also has the lowest tuition fees out of the three colleges. Therefore, VIT Chennai has the highest net positive return on investment out of the three colleges offering MBA in Chennai.

MBA at VIT Chennai has a total tuition fee of INR 6.97 lakh whereas GLIM Chennai has tuition fees of INR 9.45 – 11.5 lakh and XIME Chennai’s tuition fees is INR 9.7 lakh. Therefore, VIT Chennai has the most affordable tuition fees out of the three colleges.VIT Chennai also has the highest package out of the three colleges. No, to get admission into VIT Chennai MBA candidates have to either appear for entrance exams, such as CAT/ XAT/ GMAT/ NMAT/ MAT/ CMAT and ATMA. Candidates need to have completed their graduation with a minimum 60% aggregate.Admission into the MBA at VIT Chennai takes place through personal interviews conducted as part of the selection process. Hence, there are no direct admissions into VIT Chennai and all admissions in the MBA programme take place through a series of selection rounds.

Yes, electives are introduced in the third and fourth semesters of the course. There are eight elective subjects a student has to choose in the last two semesters to complete the credits necessary for the course. Each group of electives gives eight credits.Students of the MBA programme can use the electives to curate a master’s programme for them as they see fit and according to their goals. The electives give the students a chance to build their portfolio while studying at the university.

It helps students bridge the gap between the professional world and academic institutions by giving them hands-on experience in the job market.The summer internships are necessary as they form an integral part of the pedagogy of the institution. No, the selection for further admission rounds in VIT Chennai MBA admissions can be done through NMAT/GMAT/XAT score if a candidate hasn’t applied for CAT. If a candidate hasn’t applied for CAT 2024 they can go through the other entrance exams for MBA at VIT Chennai.Candidates can appear for CAT/NMAT/GMAT/XAT and can use scores of any of these exams to apply for admission into the VIT Chennai MBA. It is important to note that the entrance exam is only the first step in the admission process of VIT Chennai.

Yes, VIT Chennai MBA admissions are merit-based but they are not done based on merit secured in the entrance exams and graduation. The entrance exam and graduation score allow candidates to be selected for the Personal Interview (PI) rounds.A merit list is then released of candidates clearing the PI round, it is according to this merit that provisional admissions into VIT Chennai MBA take place. Therefore, candidates will have to clear multiple rounds to finalise their admission into the programme.
