Yes, you can pursue a PG course in 3D Modelling, VFX, or CGI even if you have completed your Post Graduation in the IT field. In fact, having a technical background or degree like B.Tech can be an advantage in pursuing a career in creative fields such as animation and VFX. Pursuing a course in 3D Modelling, VFX, or CGI can lead to a job in an animation company or open up avenues in the movie and gaming industry, advertisement, 3D printing, architectural design, and web-based applications. Some institutes that offer PG courses in 3D Modelling, VFX, or CGI include Vancouver Film School and Kingston University London.

The placement of the VFX Plus course depends on the skill of the student and the credibility of the institution from where you have done the VFX Plus course. If you have done a VFX plus course from a top cinematic academy, then you may get a job in a top industry house such as Redchillies VFX. You can get a job at your dream media company, such as Rajshree Productions, Green Gold, or Dizi Toons. Even at an average production house, you may get a job with a starting salary of Rs. 25,000 per month.
