VFX is a field of applying your design knowledge to create pleasing effects to highlight and progress the story. So typically a VFX person either comes from animation or film making. The lower end staff comes from graphics.
Now, ideally a Course in either Animation or Film Making would qualify you to then take VFX as a specialization and also ensure that you stand on firm ground. Do not focus on what the certification is called, but search more on the learnings from the course. Something like VFX Pro or similar specialized course from a good institute can be good. I did a quick search about AAU but it didn't figure in the top ranked colleges. This totally would depend on your budget and the level of creative arts portfolio. Studying abroad in programming/ animation/ design is great but you would need to understand their structure and how it works.
If you're still searching you can look at studying for a job oriented diploma at a leading school in Canada. If you want advice on that I can guide you and put you across to the best schools with a scholarship if possible, but for that I'd need to mentor you to develop the right portfolio. Yes, it is quite possible to pursue a course in VFX after B.com.
The nature of course depends on your plans ahead, in case you wish to get a job then you could opt for a diploma or certificate or if you are willing to invest time, you may opt for a post graduate degree in VFX.
