Students can choose their electives depending on their specialization.In operations "operations management" is core subject.Except core, electives is taken by students as their wish.It is not mandatary that students should choose 'six sigma' as their elective.

That solely depends on government schemes. If you are eligible for any govt. scholarships, you can get approval from college. College does not have any role in government scholarships, except for the approval part.

No. Its not a residential course, although hostel facility is available and i recommend you use it. Bus facility is also available. MBA after b.tech is your personal choice. Being a b.tech myself what i think about it, you are widening your opportunities doing PGDM after b.tech but it is hard too if you are looking for a technical job after MBA. And yes dual specialization is available in VJIM.

You can either register through online by visiting VJIM website or by filling the application form by collecting it from campus directly. But i hope the seats for this year is filled. Verify it and apply by calling the institute. The tuition fee for 1 year is Rs.3.25 lakhs and hostel fee for 1 year is Rs.75,000/-.

The average placements for finance is around Rs.4.2 lakhs/ annum. The major recruiters are Deloitte(Audit/Taxation), Invesco, Karvy, Thomson Reuters, Capital IQ, GGk Technologies. Finance has the second best placements after marketing in VJIM.

You have to be in formals. Formal shirt, Formal trousers, Brown/Black shoes and belt. The belt should match the shoes. That's it. You are in a B-school so it will be like corporate. Welcome to VJIM and have a great year ahead :-)

Yes. The laptop is yours . You can use it the way you want but some guidelines will be given by the management restricting some software which if used the free warranty for two years will be dismissed.
