Fresher's Welcome: At the beginning of the academic year, there is often a fresher's welcome event organized called "Aarambh" to introduce new students to the university community. It includes performances, interactive sessions, and an opportunity to interact with senior students and faculty members.Annual Cultural Fest: VU organizes an annual cultural fest called "Vishwaayan", which is a multi-day event featuring a wide range of activities, performances, and competitions. These include music, dance, talent shows, art exhibitions, and more. It's a vibrant celebration of creativity and talent within the university.

At Vishwakarma University the mess food taste is moderate but the quality is well maintained. There is a Mess facility with dining hall. It includes Mess (Breakfast + Dinner). Students can also make the payment of hostel charges using two installations, excluding the refundable deposit, within a time span of 4 months.Transport facility charges (optional and subjected to minimum number of students) are payable separately and will be notified in due course of time.All Hostel payments should be done in the hostel account only.

At Vishwakarma University CGPA is calculated by considering the internal exams, practical exams, theory papers and various assignment submissions. The CGPA is calculated by multiplying the overall grade score by the credit score of each subject by the total credit scores. 

Internal exams often contribute to the overall grade or GPA of a course. Missing an exam could potentially lower the student's overall grade for the course.However, If a students misses internal exam, one should give prior letter or submit the reason for absenteeism of the same and if the reason is vaild and genuine the student can appear for re-exam. 

A student who paases in the Semester End Examination but fails in the Internal Assessment of the course shall reappear for the Internal Examination of that course. However his/her marks of the Semester End Examination will be carried over and he / she be entitled for grade obtained by him / her on passing.

This will help you feel more comfortable and save time when you need to find your way around. Get to know your professors and classmates: Introduce yourself to your professors and fellow students. Building relationships with them can be beneficial academically and socially. Participate in class discussions, join study groups, and engage in extracurricular activities to expand your network and make friends.

There is no particular dress code at Vishwakarma University but students are preferred to wear full length trousers and loose fitting tops or T- shirts with sleeves are to be worn while on the Institute Campus. However, Institute uniform is compulsory on specified days, during University examinations, for internal tests and special functions.

Vishwakarma University admissions to all the courses are either merit or entrance based. VUNET and VUPET are online entrance exams conducted by the University for specific courses. Candidates holding national-level test scores are exempted from University’s entrance exam.For B.Tech- Eligibility: Class 12 or 3 years Diploma with minimum 45% aggregate (40% for reserved category) Selection: VUNET/ MH-CET / JEE Main.
