As per unofficial sources, VIT Bhopal alumni are working in top national and multinational companies such as Microsoft, Google, Amazon, Oracle, TCS, etc. They work in various sectors such as Engineering, Operations, Business Development, Marketing, Sales and more. Of all the sectors, 40% of alumni work in the Engineering sector. Additionally, 15% and 11% of alumni work in the IT and Operations sectors. As per the media reports, a total of 184 students from the 2023 graduating batch received Pre-Placement offers (PPO) during their summer internship. The pre-placement offers were made by companies, including Microsoft (22 offers), DE Shaw (2 offers), Fidelity investments (24 offers), JP Morgan (82 offers), Wells Fargo (8 offers), Infosys (7 offers), The Math company (32 offers) and Schneider Electric (7 offers).

The VIT Bhopal average package offered during the 2024 placement drive stood at INR 11 LPA. When it comes to the placement rate, VIT Bhopal recorded 87% overall placement rate in the academic year 2023-2024.
