Hi, you have not mentioned the course you are looking for in VIT. The fee structure at VIT is as follows:
1. The fee for most B.Tech courses is Rs. 7.8 Lacs, whereas for biotechnology, EEE, and civil engineering, it is Rs. 6.92 Lacs.
2. The fee for the MBA course is Rs. 6.97 Lacs.
3. The fee for M.Tech courses ranges from Rs. 3 Lacs to Rs. 4.87 Lacs, based on branch.

The tuition fees is around 8-12 Lacs for 4 years. You can get scholarship by giving the VITJEE examination. Applicants applying for the Undergraduate Engineering admission in 2023 should have secured minimum aggregate of 60% in Physics Chemistry and Mathematics/Biology in the qualifying examination (+2/Intermediate). .

Presently in India, no professional course is allowed to be offered by way of correspondence course. hence you can not do metallurgical engineering from any open university.

It's nice to see your query. It's very important to study well and optimally to get good results. You should begin by downloading the syllabus for the entrance exam. Then compare it with what you are learning in 12th standard. Topic by topic of each subject. Then find out previous years' solved papers. Then start understanding subjects. VIT offers various types of scholarships to students. One of which is the Institutional scholarship in which you have to appear in the VITEE ( VIT entrance examination) and your rank will decide whether you get a scholarship or not. Other types of scholarships include government scholarships which are given under the School Development Programme (GVSDP), Smt. Rajeswari Viswanathan Memorial Scholarship, merit, Merit-cum-Means Scholarship for Professional and Technical Courses, and all other scholarships that are offered by the government of India.
