Yes, you can go. They just need your rank in VITEEE but not JEE main.

Hi Jasraj,
The VIT ranking mentioned of your son is not up to the mark for securing admission in CSE/ME/CE/EC at VIT in the first category. However, he may get admission in the subsequent categories but that will also incur you higher fees. So, If your son has a good preparation till date for BITSAT and Advanced, then you can drop VIT, otherwise, go for the counseling at VIT.

Your rank is good. Yes, you can go for phase-2 counselling. But Answer to this Question will be best given by VIT itself. Call on their helpline number. You will get contact details on their official website. Also, when you attend the counselling for the 1st phase on the 3rd day at VIT ask the officials there.

VIT University will conduct the VITEEE 2018 counselling in offline mode for qualified candidates from May 9 to 11, 2018 for Phase I. The counselling of VITEEE 2018 for Phase II will be held from May 14 to 18. However, the counselling of VITEEE only at VIT Bhopal Campus for Phase II will be held on May 19 and 20. To participate in VITEEE counselling 2018, candidates need to visit the designated counselling venue as per their ranks and the scheduled time. Hi Kiran,
Each candidate will be given a specific time. So they should report only at that time. The counselling time maybe for 10-20 minutes for a candidate, but the required fee, which the university asks should be given on the day of counselling.
The people who got ranks between 1-20000 are called for phase 1 counselling and those from 20001-100000 will be called for phase 2 counselling.
