VIT Vellore Eligibility

The selection criteria for B.E. and B.Tech courses at Vidyalankar Institute of Technology (VIT) in Mumbai, India depends on the course and the candidate's state: B.E.: A minimum of 50% marks in 10+2 with relevant subjects B.Tech. in Biomedical Engineering: A minimum of 45% marks in Physics, Mathematics, and one of the following subjects: Chemistry, Biotechnology, Biology, Technical Vocational, Computer Science, IT, Informatics Practices, Agriculture, Engineering Graphics, or Business Studies B.Tech. in Electronics and Computer Science: A minimum of 45% marks in 12th B.Tech. in Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering: A minimum of 45% marks in 12th B.Tech. in Information Technology: Admission is through counseling based on marks in the Maharashtra Common Entrance Test (MHCET) or rank in JEE-Mains 

Candidates must have earned a bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as a BCA, a B.Sc. (IT/Computer Science), or any other degree that includes mathematics as a subject at the 10+2 or graduate levels, to be eligible for VIT Vellore's Master of Computer Applications (MCA) program. Generally speaking, candidates should have graduated from an accredited university with at least 60% of their undergraduate degrees. The VITMEE (VIT Master's Entrance Examination) score, which evaluates candidates' technical and analytical abilities, is the main factor used to determine admission. Candidates who make the shortlist based on their VITMEE results can then move on to the counselling round.

You are eligible to enroll in the BCA program, which is designed to develop programming skills for creating efficient software, websites, cloud, or mobile applications. The program has a duration of 3 years. The eligibility criteria of BCA is pass with 50% aggregate marks in 10+2 (with English) or equivalent. If a candidate has not studied English as a subject, the English requirement may be waived if the candidate has studied in English medium or an equivalent subject in their qualifying exam.The curriculum is designed to encompass computer science, programming languages, software development, and information technology. LPU prioritizes practical learning in addition to theoretical knowledge. The BCA program includes laboratory sessions for students to apply their learning in real-world situations, as well as projects and internships to provide hands-on experience in the IT industry.
