As per the minimum VITEEE Eligibility criteria, candidates should have secured at least an aggregate of 60% in Physics Chemistry and Mathematics/Biology in the +2/Intermediate examination. Candidates who have studied Physics Chemistry and Biology are eligible for admission to B.Tech. There are mainly two types of scholarships offered at VIT Vellore viz. Scholarships under the STARS programme and GVSDP scholarship. Scholarships at VIT Vellore are mainly offered based on merit. However, economically backward students are provided with need-based scholarships.

Candidates willing to apply must score at least 55% in Physics Chemistry and Mathematics/ Biology in their 10+2 or intermediate qualifying examinations.
