Vellore Institute of Technology is a private deemed university. It has four campuses, located at Vellore, Chennai, AP-Amravati, and Bhopal.
The admissions for BTech branches at all its campuses are based on the merit rank from VITEEE, which differs from year to year.
The application process at VIT AP for the 2022 session begins in the month of July. This year admission to all branches, including B.Tech. in Computer Science and Engineering (CSE), was completed in the month of September.
These cutoffs were declared in the month of July, and for the CSE branch at VIT AP, the cutoffs (2022) were as follows:

I don't have much knowledge about CU, KIIT, however VIT and LPU are best colleges for Engineering. The Mechanical engineering branch of B.Tech of LPU is composed of-

3. Most professors here focus on how well you understood the content and not how well you learned it. So it really helps you have good concepts from the get go
4. The labs are well-equipped with most major and minor equipment required for Biotechnology. Above all, you can use it all absolutely free if you know how to use it.

It is quite a subjective question and my opinion will not matter if it does not match with your interest. CSE and ME are entirely different with CSE comprising scientific and engineering aspects of computing and designing automated machine systems and intelligent bots. Vellore Institute of Technology has a higher ranking, better faculty members and a reputation in the educational world. In VIT whatever the campus, the only branch that's good for placements is CSE. If you take core branches even in Vellore then also it's very difficult to get into core companies because there are very less core companies visiting for placements and its a high probability that you will be placed in mass. So CSE in VIT Andhra Pradesh is a good option as compared to the core branch in Vellore (in terms of placement).
