Both universities are good, As a per my knowledge based on my research I will suggest LPU. Been an part of LPU, I can share the detail of Mechanical engineering. LPU has earned many affiliations, recognitions, and accreditation down the lane and marks itself amongst the few of the top private universities. The Mechanical Engineering programme seamlessly articulates the concepts from basic Science to technology with relevant practice through lab and projects for building the problem-solving skills, keeping industry requirements in place for Design, Manufacturing, Thermal, etc. Specialisation. Placements: There are more than 100 companies that are coming in LPU for placements of the mech. Students. It varies from 3 Lacs per annum to 12 Lacs per annum.
