No, there is no negative marking in VITEEE.
This is one of the competitive exams in India and so it is necessary to have a good rank.
It is not that tough but however, you need to practice more and more. Completely follow the syllabus and cover it before the exams.
Learn the concepts clearly and then practice many problems. Try to get a rank below 5000.

Minimum 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics/Biology (for SC/ST and North-East candidates)
Clearing Intermediate or Two-year Pre-University Examination
Candidates with PCB (Physics, Chemistry and Biology) background are eligible to apply for the B.Tech Bioinformatics, Bio-medical engineering and Biotechnology programmes only. They are also eligible for B.Tech Computer Science but after joining, registering Mathematics as bridge course is mandatory.

The total marks of VITEEE is 125. As you would not know your score in the exam during the results, I may tell in terms of ranks.
To get your desired branch, your rank should be at least below 5000.

There is no particular weightage for the chapters that are predetermined in VITEEE. The syllabus is only fixed and based on that you need to prepare. In fact, the questions weightage vary every year.
