The following table presents the cutoff of B.Tech from the previous year. However, it can't be said surely that the cutoff for 2024 would range somewhat in this range only. Determining the cutoff depends on several factors such as the difficulty level of the paper, the number of students attempted that year, etc. However, you may take the help of the table below and boost up your preparation: CategoryClosing RankB.Tech in Computer Science Engineering7087B.Tech in Information Technology Engineering8218B.Tech in Electronics and Communication Engineering 9232

The annual cutoff for VNIT Nagpur BTech admission is determined by the JEE Main results. The last round closing cutoff for BTech courses ranged between 832 and 58063 for general category students, with CSE being the most competitive specialization, according to the VNIT Nagpur cutoff 2023. Even though a 97 percentile is a respectable grade, general-category applicants may find that it is insufficient to get into VNIT Nagpur. With a 97 percentile, you might have a better chance of being admitted if you fall into the reserved category.

It depends on perspective of every individual, I would like to share my perspective.
Civil is a good branch, you have so many interesting subjects to learn, many people choose to avoid giving civil a preference 'cause they think Civil me placement nahi hota' 'Construction site par kaam karna padega .But civil has so many sub branches (Structural, Environmental, Transportation, Water Resources, Construction technology, etc) which gives a good opportunity for further studies.
I agree that the placement scenario of civil is poor if you compare it to Mech, CSE, ECE, EEE , but if you are good with your subjects it shouldn't be a problem.

Marks do not have much to do here. What really matters is your AIR
No one can accurately predict the opening and closing ranks for a particular college. It depends on your branch and category. You can have a look at last year's opening and closing ranks. That should give you a fair idea.
