Visvesvaraya National Institute of Technology, Nagpur does not provide lateral entry entrance to its B.Tech programme for students holding any diploma. The eligibility criteria based on 10+2 marks with Physics, Chemistry, and Maths will be followed for a direct admission process in JEE Main to VNIT. However, as a Diploma holder from Madhya Pradesh, you can look into state-level engineering colleges or universities where you can join the B.Tech course through lateral entry. You may opt for Diploma to Degree (D2D) counseling process carried out by the concerned state technical education board for the right alternatives.

Yes, VNIT Nagpur follows the semester pattern. The programme extends over four academic years, semester-wise. Therefore, the whole curriculum is divided into both theoretical and practical skills. The institute follows the CBCS pattern. This semester-based curriculum allows students to focus more intensively on their chosen areas of engineering. Candidates can visit the official website to apply.
