The last date for applying for VNR Vignana Jyothi Institute of Engineering and Technology is different for different programs. For B.Tech admissions, the institute retains the TS EAMCET counseling schedule and the B.Tech admission application deadline is normally around May or June. For admission in VNR Vignana Jyothi Institute of Engineering and Technology for the undergraduate programs students have to take the TS EAMCET test while for the post graduate courses, students have to take TS PGECET or GATE test. It also does counselling process where the candidates are assigned to the seats with reference to the rank likely to the TS EAMCET and management seats considering 70 and 30 per cent as the final seat distribution ratio.

The admission requirement for M.Tech programme in VNR Vignana Jyothi Institute of Engineering and Technology is a pass in Bachelor degree of the relevant branch, with minimum 50% marks. Candidates must also have cleared the GATE exam and must have secured minimum marks of 25 marks out of 100. But for the SC/ST candidates, 45% minimum mark is prescribed for getting the admission. The placement of B.Tech graduates at VNR Vignana Jyothi Institute of Engineering and Technology is about INR 7-8 Lacs per annum . The maximum CTC provided was from INR 50, 40000 per annum. This institute has very good course placement record, especially more than ninety percent of B.Tech students get placement every academic year.
