The VUSAT comprises multiple-choice questions that take into account subjects such as Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and English from 10+2 or an equivalent syllabus. On average, the test typically lasts for 2 hours and contains 125 questions. It is divided into three sections: 40 questions from Physics, 40 from Chemistry, and 40 from Mathematics or Biology, depending upon the stream; and 5 questions from English. The correct answer to each of these will fetch 1 mark; there is no negative marking. The examination is done in online mode and admission to undergraduate courses in a number of institutes is offered through this.

All the questions in the VUSAT question paper Part A will be objective type questions and will be in MCQ format. Candidates will be given four options for each question. Candidates will have to select the correct option for each question. VUSAT question paper will consist of 75 Multiple Choice Questions. Each question will be for one mark. Whereas, Part B of VUSAT question paper will be descriptive.
