The selection criteria for the B.E./B.Tech programmes at Walchand College of Engineering (WCE) are based on academic qualifications and entrance exam scores. Candidates must have completed their 10+2 (or equivalent) with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (PCM) as core subjects, securing at least 45% aggregate marks (40% for reserved categories).Admissions are primarily through the MHT CET (Maharashtra Common Entrance Test), which is conducted for candidates from Maharashtra. For non-Maharashtra students, JEE Main scores are considered for admission. Eligible candidates must participate in the Centralized Admission Process (CAP) organized by the Directorate of Technical Education (DTE), Maharashtra. Additionally, a limited number of seats may be available under the management quota, based on academic merit and seat availability. Walchand College of Engineering has below criteria for taking admissions to it's various courses: CoursesEligibilityB.E. / B.TechCandidate must have completed Diploma Course in Engineering and Technology in relevant stream with minimum 45% marks (40% marks in case of candidates of Backward class categories and Persons with Disability belonging to Maharashtra State only) from an All India Council for Technical Education or Central or State Government approved Institution or its equivalent.

Candidate must have completed B.Sc. from UGC/ Association of Indian Universities recognised University with at least 45% marks (40% in case of candidates of Backward class categories and Persons with Disability belonging to Maharashtra State only) and passed 10+2 with Mathematics as a subject.After 10th DiplomaCandidate passed 10th class/SSC examination or its equivalent, with at least 35% aggregate marks from any recognised institute/board are eligible to apply.M.E./M.TechSponsored candidate must have minimum of two years of full time work experience in a registered firm/ company/ industry/ educational and/ or research institute/ any Government Department or Government Autonomous Organization in the relevant field in which admission is being sought.
