WBCHSE board is strictly against the practise of using any unfair means during the examinations. The board is actively working to prevent and discourage any malpractice during board examinations every year. So, you are advised to go through the WB HS syllabus and solve as many previous years question papers and sample papers to avoid cheating during the WBCHSE board exams.

Many students wish to clear their board exams without studying, however, please note that you will not be able to pass the 12th class without securing the minimum passing marks of 33 in all subjects and also 33 percent in aggregate. In case you are unable to score the passing marks in one or two subjects, you will be allowed to sit for the supplementary exams. You are advised to go through the WB HS syllabus, and know the exam pattern so that you are able to build a strategy to score well in exams. Make notes of important points as you study. Stay confident and focus your energy on studies and you'll be able to pass with flying colours.

In case you are unable to obtain 33 percent marks in one subject in WB 12th, you will be eligible to appear for the compartment exams for the same subject. The WB HS compartment/supplementary exams are held in June/July. This is a second chance to save your academic year. Students are advised to finish the WB HS syllabus and know the exam pattern well. they must also solve and practice the previous year's question papers to know the types of questions asked in the exam. With focus, students can easily obtain the minimum passing marks.

Not only do your board exam results matter, but also your JEE Main and JEE Advanced scores determine your eligibility for admission to IITs, NITs, IIITs, and GFTIs. To be eligible, you must, however, have received at least a 75% (65% for SC/ST applicants) in your 12th board test, or rank in the top 20 percentile of your local board. Your WBCHSE score of 280 out of 500, or 56%, would not meet this requirement.

Minimum eligibility requirements, including as subject requirements and minimum marks, are typically specified by St. Xavier's College based on results from board exams (such as the WBCHSE for students from West Bengal). In light of your WBCHSE (357) scores, it would be prudent to review the prior year's admissions cutoffs and speak with St. Xavier's College about your eligibility and prospects for admission. Every year, the requirements for admission could change somewhat, so you'll have a better chance of getting in if you stay informed and adjust your application accordingly.
