WBCS salary pay scales are mentioned in the official notification, but the candidates get the in-hand salary after various deductions and additions of the allowances. The WBCS Group A service includes six services. The services include West Bengal Civil Service (Executive), Assistant Commissioner of Revenue in the integrated West Bengal Revenue Service, West Bengal Co-operative Service, West Bengal Labour Service, West Bengal Food and Supplies Service, West Bengal Employment Service [Except the post of Employment Officer (Technical)]. The pay scale is PB-4A & INR15600 to 42000/- + Grade Pay INR 5400 and Gross emoluments at Entry-level is INR 21,000/- besides D.A., M.A. and H.R.A. admissible as per rules.

The West Bengal Public Service Commission is expected to release the WBCS 2024 application forms soon on its official website - psc.wbpsc.gov.in. The WBPSC WBCS 2024 notification is expected to be released soon. The applications will be activated as per the dates mentioned in the official notification. As per the official calendar, the WBCS 2024 prelims exam will be conducted on December 15, 2024 across the state. The candidates should note that the WBCS 2024 exam will be conducted based on the old syllabus and exam pattern. The Commission will separately release the WBCS 2024 syllabus and exam pattern before the official notification. 

The candidate must have a degree from a recognized University in India. The candidate must be able to read, write, and speak in the Bengali language. Candidates whose mother tongue in Nepali are exempted from this requirement. The candidate must be well-versed with the national and international current events.West Bengal Public Service Commission recruits posts like Civil Judge, Medical Officer, Engineer, District Organiser, Assistant Professor, Auditor, Development Officer, Supervisor, Inspector, Deputy Director and Workshop Instructor.WBCS Main Exam consists of a total of 8 papers out of which six are compulsory and one is an optional subject divided into two papers. Candidates need to qualify for all six compulsory subjects along with one optional exam to be eligible for the selection process.

The best attempt for the WBCS Mains 2022 Paper 3 to paper 4 is 140-150 questions and the expected cut off for this paper is around 120-125 marks.
