WBJEE Eligibility

JEE Joint Entrance Examination is a national-level engineering entrance exam conducted in India for admission to various undergraduate engineering programs. The eligibility criteria for JEE include
Age Limit General category candidates must be born on or after October 1, 1998. SC, ST, PwD category candidates must be born on or after October 1, 1993.
Educational Qualification: Candidates must have passed 12 or equivalent examination with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the Chemistry or Biotechnology or Biology or Technical Vocational subject. Candidates must have obtained at least 75 percent marks 65 percent for SC, ST, PwD category candidates in aggregate in these subjects. Year of Appearance in Qualifying Examination Candidates must have appeared for the qualifying examination 12th or equivalent in the year 2021 or 2022. Candidates appearing in the qualifying examination in 2023 are also eligible to apply for JEE Main 2023. Number of Attempts Candidates can appear for JEE Main a maximum of three times consecutively in three consecutive years. Note The eligibility criteria for JEE Advanced the second phase of the JEE exam may vary from the above-mentioned criteria for JEE Main.

WBJEE 2023 Eligibility Criteria:
1- Nationality: The student must be an Indian citizen
2- Age restriction: Students must be at least 17 years of age (as of December 31, 2023) to appear for the exam or be born on or before December 31, 2007. There is no upper age limit for appearing in the exam. However, for admission to the Marine Engineering Course, the lower age limit is 17 years as of December 31, 2023, and the upper age limit is 25 years as of December 31, 2023. WBJEE 2023 Eligibility criteria for Bachelor of Technology admissions:
The students should have passed Class 10+2 or equivalent with Physics and Mathematics along with any one of the Chemistry Biotechnology, Biology Computer Science, Computer Application, and Technical Vocational Subjects as compulsory subjects with individual pass marks in all three subjects in regular class mode. Must have secured a min of 45 percent marks and 40 percent in the case of candidates belonging to reserved categories such as SC, ST, OBC-A, OBC-B, and PwD in the above three subjects taken together. Students should have qualified English in the Class 12 exam with at least 30 percent marks.
