WBJEE JECA question paper will be divided into two categories. The Category I section will have 80 questions and every correct answer will be awarded with one mark. There in negative marking of 1/4th mark in Category I. Candidates will have to attempt 20 questions in Category II. For every correct answer in Category II section, two marks will be awarded and there in no negative marking.

According to the official marking scheme of WBJEE JECA, the candidates will be marked as per the category that the question falls in. For Category I questions, the correct answer will be awarded one mark. For every incorrect answer in Category I, 1/4th mark will be deducted by the authorities. In Category II, two marks will be given for every correct answer. There is no negative marking in Category II. 

As per the official WBJEE JECA exam pattern, the total duration of the examination is 2 hours. The candidates will have to attempt 100 multiple-choice questions within the allotted duration. No extra time will be provided to the candidates to complete the examination. After the examination duration is over, the candidates will have to stop marking their answers, otherwise their OMR sheets will be considered invalid.

While filling out the WBJEE JECA application form, the candidates will have to upload their scanned passport size photograph, signature and left hand thumb impression. The documents have to be scanned as per the official specifications mentioned by the authorities. If the specifications are not met, then the documents will not be accepted. All of the documents have to be in the JPG/JPEG format.

The candidates will be able to check the information regarding the last date for WBJEE JECA 2025 registrations online at wbjeeb.nic.in. All applications have to be submitted before the final date. No, there is no fee to make corrections in the WBJEE JECA application form. However, the candidates may be required to pay a fee if they make changes in their category. Since the application fee is different for various categories, a change in the category might require the candidates to pay the fee difference. In such cases, the candidates will be able to make the fee payment online i.e., through net banking/credit card/debit card.

No. Not all details will be open for corrections in the WBJEE JECA application form. The candidates will not be able to edit/correct their basic details i.e., their name, father's name, mother's name, gender, domicile and date of birth through the WBJEE JECA application correction facility. Therefore, the candidates are advised to be careful while submitting their basic details in the JECA application form.
