According to the WBJEE JELET exam pattern, the paper consists of two categories - Category I will have 1 mark questions and Category II will have 2 mark questions. Category I will consist of questions from Mathematics (30 Questions), Physics (25 Questions), Chemistry (15 Questions) and Fundamentals of Electrical and Electronics Engineering (10 Questions). Category II will consist of Mathematics (10 Questions), Physics (5 Questions) and Chemistry (5 Questions).

The authorities will release the WBJEE JELET exam pattern online at wbjeeb.nic.in. Candidates will be able to access all details related to the entrance examination through the WBJEE JELET exam pattern. No other mode will be used by the authorities to make the WBJEE JELET exam pattern available. Through the exam pattern, the candidates will be able to understand how the exam will be held and accordingly prepare for it. As per the official exam pattern of WBJEE JELET, the authorities will conduct the exam as a pen-and-paper-based test.

The Institute of Engineering and Management Kolkata admission to the BTech courses is based on WBJEE scores, followed by the WBJEE Counselling process. As per the IEM Kolkata cutoff 2023, the last round closing rank for Information Technology was 39862 for the General All India category stduents. During the IEM Kolkata cutoff 2022, the last round closing rank stood at 5726 and in 2021 it closed at 4016 for BTech in IT programme. So, comparing the last round closing ranks for all the three years, IEM Kolkata witnessed a huge decline for BTech in CSE programm.

Yes. Since the WBJEE cutoff is prepared after taking into consideration various factors, which includes the candidate's category, the cutoff will be different for every category, college and course. For a higher chance of admission, the candidates will be required to meet the minimum cutoff as determined by the authorities. According to the cutoff trends, WBJEE cutoff is expected to be higher for the general category as compared to the reserved category and for the popular BTech courses.

The authorities will prepare the WBJEE cutoff after considering various factors related to the entrance examination. Some of the important factors that will be considered for the WBJEE cutoff are - previous years' cutoff trends, total number of candidates, number of seats available, difficulty level of the examination, etc. The candidates will have to note that the WBJEE cutoff will vary as per the category, course and colleges that are selected by them.

No. The authorities will not conduct any slot booking process for WBJEE. Since the examination is conducted in a single-day, there is no requirement for slot booking. Candidates will have to be present on the official WBJEE date at their allotted examination centre. WBJEE admit card will be available online for all registered eligible candidates. While reporting at the exam centre, the candidates will have to present their admit card and identity proof.

WBJEE 2025 answer key date has not been released yet. The authorities will release the provisional WBJEE answer key after the conclusion of the exam. The candidates will be able to check the WBJEE answer key 2025 by logging in using the required credentials. The authorities will accept objections against the provisional answer key. Based on the objections, the authorities will prepare the final WBJEE answer key. Along with the answer key, the WBJEE 2025 OMR sheets and individual responses will also be released.
