WBJEE question paper will consist of objective multiiple-choice questions. During the examination, the candidates will have to choose the correct answer/answers from the given options. WBJEE questions have been divided into three categories - Category I (only one answer option is correct, Category II (only one correct option) and Category III (one or more option will be correct). On the OMR sheet, the candidates will have to select the correct option by darkening the appropriate circle completely with a blue or black ballpoint pen.

According to the official WBJEE exam pattern, the questions will be divided into three categories. Each category will have its own marking scheme and questions from Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. Candidates are advised to correctly answer as many questions as they can to secure high marks in the examination.Category I - 110 multiple-choice questions where only one answer option is correct.Category II - 25 multiple-choice questions where the candidates will have to select only one correct option. Category III - 20 multiple-choice questions where one or more option will be correct.

According to the WBJEE exam pattern, the duration of the entrance examination is 4 hours. For each paper i.e., Paper 1 (Mathematics) and Paper 2 (Physics and Chemistry), 2 hours have been allotted, and the candidates will have to complete both the sections within the allotted duration. Multiple-choice questions of Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics have to be answered by the candidates within 4 hours. No extra time will be provided to the candidates to complete the entrance examination.

Yes. The authorities have released the official WBJEE 2025 syllabus online at the official website - wbjeeb.nic.in/wbjee. Candidates can now check the detailed syllabus through the WBJEE 2025 information brochure. The details regarding which subjects, units and topics have to be studied for the examination will be available through the WBJEE syllabus. No other mode will be used to release the syllabus of WBJEE. Candidates are advised to check the syllabus carefully before commencing their preparation for WBJEE.

There are two sets of question papers in WBJEE exam. Paper-1 includes questions from Mathematics. Paper-2 includes questions from physics and chemistry. Candidates who appear for both papers are eligible for admission in engineering, technology, architecture and pharmacy courses. Those who appeared in paper-2 will be eligible for pharmacy courses only.
