No. There were high chances that the authorities would not allow the candidates to take out printouts of WBJEE 2023 admit card from their office. Therefore all candidates were advised to carry their own original print outs of the WBJEE admit card to the centre. It is to be noted that the authorities did not accept soft copies of the admit card and identity proof at the centres and the candidates were required to produce original documents. Otherwise the candidates were not allowed to attempt the entrance examination.

No. The WBJEE 2023 exam centres did not provide any facility for the accommodation of the candidate parents, guardians or accompanying people. The parents and guardians were requested to wait outside the WBJEE exam centre or to come back later after the exam was conducted. The authorities also requested the accompanying parents and guardians to not crowd the examination centre and to leave the area as soon as they drop off the students. This was requested to maintain order and safety at the examination centres.

In such cases where a candidate did not have anyone to accompany them who could take care of their belongings, they were able to request the WBJEE 2023 centre authorities to deposit the personal belongings for the test duration. However, the authorities were not responsible for any loss of belongings. Therefore, the candidates were advised to not bring their expensive and personal belongings, which are not required to the centre or to leave them with their guardians outside the examination centre.

Candidates were able to select their preferences for the WBJEE 2023 exam centres while filling out the application form. During the application process, the candidates had to select and submit three WBJEE 2023 exam zones in the order of preference. Allotment of exam centres was done based on the preferences selected by the candidates. If the candidate's first preference centre was not available, then they were allotted a centre in the zone that they had submitted as their second preference. Therefore, the order of preference is important while selecting the exam zones of WBJEE.

During the WBJEE counselling process, admissions will be done based on the candidate's rank obtained in the General Merit List. While the general rank will be considered for admissions, the cutoff will also be one of the deciding factors for the allotment of seats. WBJEE admission cutoff will be different for every category, college and course. Therefore, the candidates are advised to check the previous years' cutoffs to know the trends. The opening rank and closing rank for admissions is released through the WBJEE cutoff.

No. All candidates are required to fill out their choice of colleges and courses during the WBJEE counselling. Candidates will not be allowed to advance into the WBJEE seat allotment process if they have not selected their colleges and courses in the order of preference. All of the selection has to be done and submitted before the final date. Since WBJEE seat allotment will be done based on the candidate's rank, preferences and seat availability, the candidates will have to carefully select their choices during the counselling process.
