For a beginner, basic knowledge of English will be great it will help you learn easily and even help you deal with clients all around the world after you mastered your skills and will be running your own business or working for a company. You need to learn about how web infrastructure works, how an interactive website works, what techs are used to build various parts of a website and learn and do exercises about each one you learn every day.
