You cannot do this because only polytechnic and Diploma holders can I take lateral entry in 2nd year of B.Tech.

B.Tech course is usually of 4 years but since you have done your Diploma you might have chances to get directly into 2nd year. For Diploma holders B.Tech is of 3 years.
