X-GMT Pattern

The Verbal Ability & Logical Reasoning section of the X-GMT is a two-pronged test. It checks your grasp of the English language and ability of candidates to think critically. Candidates will encounter questions that assess your vocabulary, reading comprehension, and how you identify patterns or connections within written information. Basically, it tests if you can understand what you read, analyse it logically, and express yourself clearly. 

XGMT exam has four sections, including Quantitative Aptitude that accesses the math skills and logic through:Basic math (percentages, averages)Algebra (equations, inequalities)Number properties (divisibility, prime numbers)Geometry (areas, volumes - less common)Data analysis (interpreting charts & graphs)Probability (arrangements, combinations)

XGMT exam is an online MCQ based test conducted for MBA admission. Candidates need to choose one correct option out of four answer options available in the XGMT exam. The marking scheme for XGMT exam is mentioned below:3 marks are awarded for each correct answer marked by the candidate1 mark is deducted for everty incorrect answers marked by the candidateNo negative marking prevails for the unattempted questions in the XGMT exam

Candidates planning to take the XGMT exam, it is important to note that all the questions in the exam are in English medium. This means that candidates will have to be proficient in English language to understand and answer the questions. Additionally, all the answer options for the questions will also be in English medium. Therefore, it is recommended that candidates brush up their English language skills before taking the exam to ensure that they are able to choose the correct answer option and achieve a good score.

XGMT exam will have around 100 to 125 MCQ type questions to be answered within 120 minutes. Candidates must note that they will have an average of about 1.2 minutes to answer each question. However, It's important to note that the exact number of questions may vary across different shifts of the exam. The time allotted remains 120 minutes, that is two hours, to answer all the questions that appear in the admission test.

Candidates appearing for the XGMT exam will find four answer options for each question. Out of these answer options one option will be correct. Candidates marking the correct answer option will fetch (+)3 marks. On the contrary, if a candidate marks an incorrect response, he/she will have to face a penalty of 1 mark each incorrect response.

XGMT exam comprises multiple choice questions, also known as the objective type questions. Candidates appearing for the XGMT exam will find questions from four sections, includingQuantitative AptitudeData InterpretationVerbal Ability and Logical ReasoningEmotional Quotient and General AwarenessAll four sections have Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs).

The X-GMT exam also known as Xavier General Management Aptitude Test is a computer-based test (CBT) to assess the aptitude of candidates in various fields such as decision-making, logical reasoning, and problem-solving. The exam is conducted in various centres across six cities in India.
