Hi,
Eligibility criteria for XAT and MAT exam:
1. XAT 2018:
Recognized Bachelors degree of minimum three years duration or equivalent in any discipline.
Final year students can also (completing final examination by June 2018) can also apply.
The eligibilty for XLRI programmes like Human Resource Management (HRM), Business Management (BM) is similar. Candidates with three years of work experience will be given preference in Global Business Management.
NRI and Foreign candidates may apply through GMAT scores.
Note: Theres no specific age limit for XAT exam.
2. MAT 2017 exam:
Graduates in any discipline can take the exam.

Sorry, you can't take admission in MBA after securing 40%. Top colleges accepting XAT score accepts more than 85 percentile.
But you can get average colleges with the mentioned score

Hi, these cut offs along with the sectional cut offs mentioned on our website(www.spjimr.org) are mandatory for admission into the course.

Sainath, GMAT score and XAT scores are not to be used together. Only one of these is to be evaluated - Your GMAT score of 700 will provide you with better opportunity than XAT score of 80 percentile. You will be eligible with your GMAT score.

For top colleges, the answer is no. And same for other colleges. Prepare well & score above 90 Percentile to get into good B-School. Work hard and give more mock exams.
