NRI and foriegn students can apply in XAT through GMAT. You need to first complete GMAT, and based on it's score you will be selected.

XAT 2018 Pattern
XAT has four important sections:
-Quantitative Ability
-English Language & Logical Reasoning
-Decision Making
-GK & Essay
XAT is one of the most difficult management entrance exams to crack. It is important to select the right balance of questions since the beginning of the exam.

Hello,
XAT (Xavier Aptitude Test) is conducted every year by XLRI, Jamshedpur.
As per the exam pattern of XAT 2018, it will be an online paper-based test of 3.5 hours duration. The exam is divided into two parts.
Paper 1 consists of three sections carrying around 70 objective type multiple choice questions.
Paper 2 carries two sections which are a mix of objective and subjective type of questions.
The exam shall consist of the following sections:
Paper 1:
1)Quantitative Ability
2)English Language & Logical Reasoning
3)Decision Making
Paper 2:
4)GK
5)Essay
Each question will carry one mark and for each wrong answer, there will be negative marking
