Scoring a mere 17 marks in XAT, your chances of selection in the best B-schools are really bleak. The cutoff expected in most of the top B-schools including XLRI, XIMB and IMT ranges between 30-40 marks. However there are other B-schools that may admit candidates by providing lower scores in the test. For instance, B-schools including XISS, XIME, Jaipuria Institute of Management might have 15-25 as their cutoff. One important point to be understood is that XAT score is only one of the selection parameters, however other important parameters include class X, XII and graduation percentage, work experience if any and personal interview performance.

GIBS Business School in Bangalore accepts XAT (Xavier Aptitude Test) scores for admission to its PGDM program, which is equivalent to an MBA.
