XAT exam is conducted in online mode so you don’t have to carry any stationary item apart from a blue/black ball point pen which is to be used for signing the attendance sheet. Candidates should not carry to the examination centre, electronic items such as phone, watch, IPad, calculator, pager, etc. They should also not carry any metal items. Clothes and accessories having metal and metal jewellery are also prohibited inside the examination centres. Caps, headgears, sunglasses, clothes with pocket and hoodies are not allowed at the XAT exam centre. Candidates must also not carry bags and any other valuable item as candidates will not be allowed to carry anything inside the exam centre apart from a pen and documents. There will be no arrangement for depositing the bag at the exam centre.

Detailed guidelines will be mentioned in the XAT admit card. Here are a few general guidelines for you to know:Candidates are supposed to be at the centre at least an hour before the commencement of exam. Reach the XAT exam centre at the reporting time mentioned on the admit card.Affix your recent passport size photo in colour with preferable white background on the admit card.Do not carry electronic items, valuables and bags to the exam centre. These items are prohibited.Carry two copies of the XAT admit card and the original copy of a valid ID proof such as Aadhaar card, Voter ID card, Passport, PAN card, Driving License or University ID card.After entering the test lab, locate your seat and computer system. Do not start the computer system until the invigilator makes an announcement for the same.

XAT admit card is released in online mode at the xat online website. Candidates have to download it by using their login ID and password created at the time of form filling. The XAT admit card 2024 will be available for download till the exam day however, candidates must download a copy as soon as it is released. Given below is the process to follow to download the XAT admit card: Log on to the XAT websiteClick on the tab indicating XAT admit card Enter XAT ID and passwordClick on submit to log inIn the student dashboard locate the admit card tab Click on the tab to open the admit cardDownload and save it in a folderAfter downloading the XAT admit card, check for the details mentioned on it. All the details should be correct and clearly visible. If there is any error, candidates must contact examination cell.

At the examination centre, candidates will have to undergo identification process which will include frisking and examination of documents. Along with the two original copies of the XAT admit card with passport size photo affixed, candidates must carry any one of the following photo IDs:Aadhaar CardE-Aadhaar cardVoter ID cardPassport·Driving LicenseUniversity ID cardCandidates must also carry a few copies of their passport size photo (preferably the same as uploaded in the XAT application form). PwD candidates must carry relevant certificates such as PwD affidavit and scribe certificate for appearing in the exam and availing the facilities provided to them.In case a candidate is not carrying the relevant document, they will not be allowed to enter the examination centre. Candidates should thoroughly read exam related guidelines mentioned on the XAT admit card so that they don’t miss out on anything.

There is no provision to change the test centre after the XAT admit card has been released. You can change your XAT test centre only once at the time of filling up the XAT application form. Once submitted, the XAT application form is not editable. There is no other way a candidate can change the test city option. They will have to appear for the exam in the city and at the test centre mentioned in their XAT admit card. They cannot even seek entry in another test centre for appearing in the exam. Insisting on doing so may get them disqualified.Thus, candidates must fill the test city options in the XAT application form very carefully or arrange for travel and stay in the city where you have been allotted the exam centre.

When filling the XAT application form, you will be required to fill fields such as academic scores, government ID number, date of birth, colleges details, etc. So, you need to have the relevant documents with you when you are filling the form. XAT application form filling process includes three steps – online registration, application form filling and payment of fees. Candidates have to complete all these three steps before the deadline to be eligible for appearing in the XAT exam. Candidates have to option to select two cities for allotment of XAT exam centre. The exam is held in 79 cities across India and you can choose any two cities as per your choice. While selecting the test cities for exam centre allotment, candidates must note the following:Select your home city or the city of your current residence as your first city of preference.Select the second city of preference as the one to which you can easily make arrangement of travel and stay in case you are allotted a centre there.The exam authorities strive to allot the exam centre in the city of first preference.At the same time, they have the right to cancel an exam centre in case there is not enough number of students or due to any other unforeseen situation.

To edit information entered in the XAT application form, candidates need to choose the 'EDIT' option and click on save option to make changes. Candidates can choose 'EDIT' option only before submitting the XAT form not after that. Candidates must a take fresh print out of the duly filled XAT 2025 application form after modifying any details. There is no provision of form correction in XAT, unlike other MBA entrance exams where candidates are given a window of 2-3 days to edit their form, XAT has no such provision. So, candidates need to ensure that they fill the right entries and if required make the changes before fee payment or form submission. Once the form is submitted they cannot edit it. They will have to fill another form and pay the exam fee again.
