Your score in BBA depends on your university criteria, it has to be respectable enough. Though technically you may score more than 50% and still get a call if your XAT/CAT scores are good enough but the final conversion may be a problem. For XAT/CAT, BM program 92%ile (Non-Domicile) and 86%ile (Domicile) is the cutoff.

Xavier University is the umbrella organization of which XIMB is a part. Earlier all management programs were under XIMB. Now with Xavier University (XUB), the BM, HRM, and RM programs have been split, also a new program sustainability management (SM) has been added. The major advantage is that earlier, people used to get a PGDM degree but as it is a university now, the students get an MBA degree. As far as faculties are concerned, there is no difference. Also, there is no difference in the campus culture. Placement of BM and HRM is done by the placement committee which has both BM and HRM students.

Hello,
Admissions at XIMR can be taken through the CAP rounds (through MH CET scores) or the CMAT scores. The college is not autonomous; it is affiliated to the Mumbai University. It is related to XLRI and XIMB as all these colleges are operated under the same Jesuit parent organization.

XIMB-XUB takes in scores of CAT, XAT and X-GMAT only for its 2 year program. So MAT 2016 scores are not viable for admission in 2 year program.

XIMB has better placement but Retail Management is niche course and has lesser avg salary range of around 6-7lacs. IBS Hyderabad has core MBA programs which has similar avg salary of 8lacs per annum. Both have good brand recognition so choose wisely.

To get into XIMB-XUB, one has to clear CAT/ XAT /X-gmat (conducted in Bhubaneswar) and then the PI-WAT process. For getting shortlisted for the PI-WAT process the minimum cut-off is 92 percentile for the Business management and 85 percentile for HR management.

The shortlisting of students for a company is done by the company itself. The placement committee facilitates the process only. In fact it guides the students on different fronts like the format in which the CV needs to be submitted, the dress code to be followed etc.

Last year's batch got 100% placement. Many good companies had been lined up. For more in-depth information you may refer to Xuberance page of XUB.

The questions can pertain to your experience in your business background, academics, general knowledge regarding your home state, current affairs, your hobbies. Try preparing for a set of mock interviews available over net. But most importantly keep your facts straight. The panel can easily know if you are saying the truth or making up stories. Best of luck.
