It is an autonomous college. So, to get admission you need to appear for their own entrance exam, which is known as SNAP. If any candidate crack SNAP in merit list, he gets a benefit of meritorious scholarship and relaxation for admission.
Xavier's Institute of Management keeps the right to select candidates from XAT entrance exam.

XLRI does not offer MBA by distance earning. The Virtual Interactive Learning (VIL) arm of XLRI offers a portfolio of 12 months consolidated programs in different functional areas of Management. After successful completion of the program students are awarded with a "Postgraduate Certificate".
VIL XLRI offers the following two 12 Months academic programs:
(a)Postgraduate Certificate in Business Management (PGCBM)
(b)Postgraduate Certificate in Human Resource Management (PGCHRM)

Prepare for XAT. Get more than 95-97 percentile and post that there will be a GD/PI round.
XAT comprises of 3 sections - Quantitative Ability-Data Interpretation, Decision Making, Verbal Ability.
Your general preparation for CAT should do and just solve previous year XAT papers.

You might be questioned on your 12th marks, but believe me that won't be the sole deciding factor in your admissions. If you can justify your score in 12th class and show them how you have improved your performance, it won't be a deterrent to your admissions.
