Yonsei University Admission Process

International applicants to Yonsei University's undergraduate or graduate programs must submit several documents. Through the university's online portal, candidates must submit a filled-out application form and the required application fee. It is required to have academic transcripts and graduation certificates from prior schools, which must be certified (for example, by notarization or apostille) and in either English or Korean. The majority of programs require either Korean (TOPIK) or English (TOEFL, IELTS) exam results, depending on the language of teaching, as proof of language competency. Additional documents usually consist of a copy of the applicant's passport, letters of recommendation, and a statement of purpose (SOP) or personal statement. 

To be eligible for admission to Yonsei University, international students are required to satisfy specific English language proficiency criteria. For the TOEFL examination, candidates must achieve a minimum score of 79, whether taking the TOEFL iBT or the TOEFL iBT Home Edition. Alternatively, students can submit an IELTS score, with a minimum requirement of 6.5.
