Bethune College is situated in Kolkata in the West Bengal state of India. Established in 1879, it is accredited by UGC, NAAC and it is affiliated with the University of Calcutta, Kolkata. BETHUNE, Kolkata offers 24 courses across 2 streams namely Science, and Arts and across 4 degrees like BSc, BA, MSc, and MA.
Bethune College secured 50th rank nationally in NIRF Ranking under the College category.
The college provides honors degrees for eight subjects belonging to the Arts group whereas, for the Science stream, it offers a total of nine honors subjects. All the honors subjects are accompanied by two distinct general subjects, which are mandatory to take up.
As far as PG courses are concerned, the college offers a master's degree in arts and science for a total of six subjects.

Zoology degree course also includes the study of morphology, physiology, biochemistry, immunology, embryology, cell and molecular Biology genomics, biotechnology, genetics evolution and ecology. In simpler words, M.Sc. (Hons. ). Zoology degree at LPU is the comprehensive and detailed study of animal sciences. The duration of the course is three years and the course is an important one that opens a lot of career scopes for the candidates after its successful completion.
