All about the Aliah university .
Placements: Nearly 40% of students get placement this year. The placement is not so good. The highest package is 5 lacs, and the lowest is 2 lacs. Nearly 60% of students got internships. The top roles are project supervisors, project managers, etc. The placement drive was held from time to time and counseling about placement was held from time to time.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is excellent, and the campus is lush with greenery. There is also a large playground. The class rooms are so big. The labs are fully equipped and functional. The library has a full Wi-Fi system for books. Hostels look like 4-star hotels, and the rooms are so good. There are two canteens, but the food in these is not so good.
Faculty: Teachers are well qualified; most teachers are Ph.D. and M.Tech holders. Teachers are so helpful and try to help in different ways. Course curricula are so relevant and students get prepared for industry and jobs. Semester exam are tough but overall passing percentage are 80% .
Other: The best thing is that the syllabus gets completed on time. We want to improve the syllabus and add some new books to it. Time-to-time fest are held. Recently, ALOHA Fest was held. Crowds are so high in college. No scholarship was provided by the university. Extra activity like NSS, NCC, etc. are also organized.

Our campus life is very good.
Placements: Placements are average in our college. Many IT companies visit our college every year like TCS, Wipro, Cognizant, Capgemini, Byjus, etc. Almost 90% of students got placed in our course. They need to provide extra special placement-oriented courses so that they can select for all types of placements.
Infrastructure: In our college, high-speed Wi-Fi connection is available. The hostel facilities are comfortable. All types of books are available in the library. Laboratory is not good, and all types of machines are not available.
Faculty: Faculty members are helpful. It is an autonomous college. Semester exams are moderate. We can always ask our doubts from faculty members.

My university is as I expected it to be.
Placements: As of now, in current scenario, less than 30% of students are placed by campus. The highest package offered is 50 lacs per annum and the lowest is 2 lacs per annum. Talking about the average package, it plays somewhere between 7 and 8 lacs per annum. The top recruitment companies are Byju's, Asian Paints, etc.
Infrastructure: In our course, classrooms are well equipped, and there are smart classrooms as well. If a professor needs to explain something, they use it. Labs are well equipped and tools and machineries are new and functional. There is free Wi-Fi for students all over the campus, except in the classroom. There is a central library from which you can get access to your course books and research papers.
Faculty: Teachers are well qualified and experienced, except some of them lack knowledge, as most of them have a Ph.D. in their field from a recognized university like Jadavpur. Teachers are helpful not all teachers are friendly and helpful. The right answer is yes but you have to take your major projects and internship seriously. Semester exams are eventually difficult. The pass percentage of students is 78%.
Other: I chose this course because I have completed my diploma in mechanical engineering. The best thing about this course is that it is a branch I have loved since my childhood days. I have always wanted to be a mechanical engineer, as machines and mechanisms of things fascinate me. The syllabus of this course should be updated and new advancements in technology should also be introduced in our syllabus. There is a cultural festival once a year at our university in which students participate and have some chill pills. The campus is good; about 5000 students are there, and you get the vibe of being at a good university. College is well connected through bus routes to every corner of Kolkata and Howrah. The college environment is good. Amity University is also near our university. NSP and state government scholarships are there. You can get upto to 20,000 if you apply for NSP. And if you avail of Aikyashree, which is a state government scholarship for students from West Bengal, you can get 60,000 per year. You can join different spots and also join NSS and NCC.

Review of Aliah University, New Town.
Placements: 60 to 70% are placed. The highest package was approximately 1 crore per annum. Tata Consultancy Services, Wipro, Byju's are top recruiting companies. About all of them are got internships who wish to do. Management and supervision are the top roles offered in my course.
Infrastructure: Well-equipped laboratories are present here with good lab assistants having proper knowledge to guide you for lab work. Wi-Fi is available in the campus area for all the students. One central library is here with sufficient books. Classrooms are large and airy.
Faculty: Teachers are very helpful in nature and behave friendly. They are well qualified and knowledgeable. Most of them are from IITs and central universities. Curriculum is industry-ready. Semester exams are not so tough, though one has to prepare well for it.
Other: As a mechanical Diploma student it was best for me to choose Bachelor of technology lateral entry direct in the second year. Aliah Aloha organises an annual fest. Campus is green and a little bit crowded. Scholarships for West Bengal student is enough to pay the fee as well as to buy a device like laptop.
