In AMU, what is meant by both the Science stream and Diploma in engineering? How is the Diploma engineering course in AMU? It's quite good! But it depends on a few factors that how better it will be for you!
If you want to work soon then obviously it is a good choice as after pursuing the Diploma you will be able to apply for various government Job and if you are a skillful then you can even get a better package in the private sector too!
Also, this depends on the branch!
But if you are interested to go for higher studies then it will not be a good choice. After Diploma in engineering, you can get admission only to BE or B.Tech! The problem arises if you want to go for further studies in AMU! For B.Tech there is no lateral entry in AMU+ you have to go for AMU B.Tech Entrance test which is +2 (PCM) based test that is usually very problematic for Diploma students! For BE, there are only three branches in AMU (Mechanical, Civil & Electrical)!
Let me tell you one good thing that you can directly get admission (without entrance) in AMU B.Tech if you are the topper in your Diploma!
