Yes, there is no doubt that VIT is more preferred over Vellore, as it is their main campus. They actually have an advantage that Bengaluru is the largest Technological hub of India, so they have a great location advantage, and they have a very good faculty base, as I was told by a relative of mine who studied there. So, I would recommend to go for VIT-Vellore.

Yes, you can apply for Amity University, even if you have not given any of MBA entrance exam, because Amity University has its own entrance exam for MBA admission. All you need to do is go to the Amity's website, and then register yourself and then you will get the interview date. On that day only you have to go to the campus and write the Amity entrance exam which will be followed by the Personal interview.
I would suggest you to go for Noida campus as the number of companies that come for the final placements are more than any of the other campuses.

You may like to keep Apeejay School of Management as an option because this institute has both domestic and international approvals. If you are aware, Apeejay is approved by AICTE and accredited by NBA. This makes your PGDM equivalent to MBA since it has the AIU approval (audit completed, certification awaited). Apart from this, Apeejay is internationally accredited by ACBSP. Apeejay School of Management is also a member of AACSB. Please visit the website www.apeejay.edu/asm for detailed information. The faculty pool of Apeejay carries enriching experience both in the industry as well as academics. Most of the faculty members are Ph.D. and have been associated with Apeejay for more than a decade now. The institute provides a quality curriculum which is being recognised by the top corporate honchos like KPMG, Deloitte, E&Y, Amazon, etc. The highest placement in the 2016-18 batch has been 15.25 LPA (so far) from Amazon.
