We only get a student visa to study MS, we don't get a work permit. Getting a job in the US is totally on the skills and placements.

Yes, Amrita School of Engineering is definitely a good option to pursue your B.Tech. It's really important to choose a well-known college because there are hundreds of engineering colleges here. Amrita School of Engineering has foreign tie up and is quite well-known in India as well as in foreign. Well known companies come for placements but it all depends on how meritorious you are.

It is VIT University anytime. VIT University in no way should be compared with ASE, Coimbatore as the institute provide with ample opportunity, vibrant culture and keep it's labs updated with modern software and hardware systems.
Now coming to placements, VIT University has placement of about 7 lakhs per annum whereas highest being around 22 lakhs in this placement season. Although, it is expected to be much more as all the placement data is not disclosed due to security reasons.
Now coming to ASE-Coimbatore, the average placement is about 3 to 4 lakh offered by the company per annum whereas the highest being 13 lakh which is no way comparable to VIT.
Although ASE is not that much worse and can be considered as a second priority after VIT. But the one here needs to maintain a good CGPA and an extraordinary CV to get the desired placement results.
So, in all, VIT should be the university one should opt for over ASE-Coimbatore. Thank you, hope it helped, feel free to ask anything.

Let us face the reality here, when you step in south there are only a handful good engineering colleges in south India, those being IIT MADRAS, TRICHY, ANNA University, VIT, SRM, and a few more. If you happen to land up in any other college then first of all you lack exposure as there colleges have students from all regions of India. Also, if you plan to go abroad for further qualifications these colleges happen to make your job a lot easier because of their collaborations with many international universities. Also, they have these rich programs like semester abroad program, twinning program, dual degree program, others that encourage students to draw more and more out of their 4 year stay in the campus. Also, owing up to the brand value of these colleges, a lot of core companies show up for placements recruiting thousands of students per day.
With that being said I hope you'll do justice to yourself! Cheers :)

Hello Imran,
As far as I know, the admissions are purely based on the ranks secured in AEEE exam. So, you may contact the administration for the management quota if it is there.

Hi Sam,
If you are looking for Executive MBA-MS, weekend program at Bangalore campus. Then take TOEFL/IELTS/PTE with valid cutoff as MS is an international admission.

Hello Joy,
Yes, there is an entrance exam for admission into any of the engineering courses at Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham University. It is called AEEE (Amrita Engineering Entrance Examination). Try to get a rank below 5000.
