Admission to the B.Tech programs offered at Amrita School of Engineering, including the Chennai campus, is based on the rank obtained in the Amrita Entrance Examination Engineering (AEEE) or through other qualifying exams as specified by the university. AEEE is conducted twice a year to get admission in Amrita school of Engineering. If students have a good rank in JEE MAIN they can get a direct admission in Amrita school of Engineering. Direct admission for GATE qualified students is also available, but no interview is required

Admission for B.Tech programs offered at different Amrita campuses is purely based on rank scored in AEEE/ JEE main.Aiming for a score around 90 out of 150 in the AEEE is generally considered good for admission to Amrita CSE. However, the AEEE qualifying marks may vary yearly based on factors like exam difficulty and applicants. Prioritise a score well above announced AEEE Cutoff 2024 for a stronger chance.There is no such thing like cut-off in AEEE. You give will be given an AEEE rank based on the marks you get in the exam. Later the counselling dates will be announced according to the rankings. You can come to any of the campuses during your counselling date and then select your preferred branch seat from the available seats.
