Madras Institute of Technology Admission 2019, Cutoff, Fees Structure, Placement, Ranking Madras Institute of Technology (MIT) is one of the oldest technical institution in India. It was established in July 1949, in Madras (now Chennai), with a view to proffer engineering education of University standard in specialised fields as well as to facilitate research. MIT is one of the four autonomous constituent colleges of Anna University. Madras Institute of Technology offers a bounty of technical courses in UG, PG and research level. It also offers few courses on applied sciences and humanities. The institute mainly offers BE and ME degrees with a few B.Tech and M.Tech courses as exception. 1, The basic minimum eligibility for UG courses is 10+2 in Science stream with 50% marks in PCM 2. For PG courses, the basic eligibility criteria is a graduate degree in the relevant discipline, and for research programs, post-graduate degree or Diploma in the relevant discipline is required 3. BE/B.Tech candidates are selected on the basis of TNEA counselling. 4. M.Tech candidates are selected on the basis of merit. 5. Candidates who have appeared for TANCET/GATE can apply for direct admission to PG course. 6. Application forms are available both online and offline. Other states candidates can apply for BE/B.Tech course online through TNEA website 7. Candidates are required to attach self-attested copies of relevant documents as stated in the information brochure, along with the application form 8. The attachments should also contain a copy of receipt of the prescribed registration fees. 9. All applications should reach the TNEA office on or before the specified last date. 10. Candidate must have a Tamil Nadu domicile. 11. Other state candidates can also apply provided they have sought education from class VIII to XII in Tamil Nadu. I hope you find your answer. No, you can't be able to get admission in this college at this score as in this college the criteria is to score minimum of 75% marks in class 12th for general and 65% for SC/ST.
