Hi,
I am not very sure whether you can get good placement opportunities after completing Bachelor of Design from Apeejay Stya University. If you want to do Bachelors in designing only then there are much better colleges for it like NIFT, NID, IIT-UCEED. These colleges are design specialised with better career opportunities. You should do it from a worthy place where it's worth paying the fees and learning. These are all government colleges and one can easily get a starting salary of three Lacs per annum at least.
All the best.

Hi,
There is no room for doubt, you should definitely go for National Institute of Design, Ahmedabad over Apeejay Stya University. It's a government college and the best college for design in India and comes under the list of top 50 colleges all over the world. It provides quality education and design knowledge. the education programmes under each discipline are designed to meet these objectives so that students are able to progress through their courses in an integrated manner.
The curriculum should generate the scope for opportunities to integrate experiential and explorative learning in order to understand and achieve a high degree of creative innovation and quality.
A flexible framework for student-centered learning, whereby courses and assignments are able to harness the potential each student has in terms of creative expression and multi-dimensional learning.
Each programme must provide the opportunity to identify, plan and achieve learning goals through an understanding of cultural, social and technological developments in the context of historical, contemporary and individual concerns.
The objective, learning value and standard for each course are predetermined, but the context and relevance is repositioned by the faculty depending on the changing realities of the design profession and the level of professional competence achieved and demonstrated by the each group of students.
To provide interdisciplinary and progressive knowledge of design but with a focused understanding of an area of specialisation suited to the professional design practice.
There should be ample opportunity to develop innovative and exploratory thinking, necessary technical skills and the ability to locate individual design approaches within the appropriate professional context. To enable the students to develop a sense of social and professional commitments. They must learn to own the responsibility for their professional decisions.
The ability to develop critical, analytical, speculative and reflective problem-solving skills in an integrated manner. To understand the scenario cum user based and culture centric approach of design.
To provide thorough understanding of technical, managerial and design fundamentals along with a strong exposure to real life situations so that they are able to experience how the intellectual, creative and other skills acquired could be adopted to benefit the user, society and industry.

I would recommend you to go for MIT Institute of Design. The institute has a decade of education practice. The campus has state of the art infrastructure. The institute's prestigious and highly skilled faculty and staffs provide an outstanding learning environment to the students. MIT's course curriculum is way more advanced than any other institute. It challenges the conventional thinking in designing and stresses the importance of innovation. The college also has international tie ups with the Hong Kong Polytechnic University, University of Dundee, Northumbria University and Coventry University. Not to mention, the institute's placement cell is also very active and has an excellent placement record. The students in past have been placed in various big companies like IBM, Asian Paints, Godrej, Microsoft etc.

Hello,
This is the topic that occupies minds of parents and students alike during the season of admission to professional courses. Yes, it is definitely important. But then, can anybody really guess what is going to happen after four years (for Engineering) or five years (M.Des)? In today's world, it is next to impossible to guess even imagine what's going to happen within two years and here we are talking of five years.
But, all of us like dreams. So, institutions sell dreams and we fall prey to it. Institutes always harp on past success stories and project it for future. But all of us must take it with a pinch of salt. Of course, presently Apeejay Satya University presently indeed has MOU with other institutions worldwide and also with Indian industry. Their present record is also good. But, I would rather advise students to seek admission based on faculty and academic record. Good faculty will always inspire and motivated students to achieve excellence and this alone will help in placements and future trajectory of the career.

Well, thanks for asking. But, I cannot be particularly accurate over this. I have seen animation & design courses at Amity Jaipur. There were two-three teachers and two-three students. Haven't witnessed, what is happening over at Noida campus. Why didnt you gave a thought to National Institute for Design (NID)? If admission processes are over, do some diploma or, short term certificate course for the remaining part of the year. And, then apply for NSD. In the meantime, prepare for the entrance (if theres any).
I think you shouldn't go to Amity. Try for some other one for sure.
All the best.
