It's difficult to generalize the drawbacks of Ashoka University as it may vary depending on individual experiences and perspectives. However, some common criticisms of the university include:
1. Location: Ashoka University is located in rural Haryana, which may not be ideal for some students.
2. Cost: Ashoka University is a private institution and its fees can be higher compared to other universities in India.
3. Limited programme offerings: Ashoka University has a smaller range of programs compared to some larger universities.
4. Student Life: As the university is located in a rural area, some students may find the social scene limited or not as vibrant as other universities.
5. Faculty Availability: As Ashoka University is a relatively new institution, it may have fewer experienced professors compared to established universities.
6. Infrastructure: As the university is still growing, some facilities such as libraries, technology, and housing may not be as developed as those at other universities.
7. Career Opportunities: As Ashoka University is a relatively new institution, some employers may not be as familiar with it compared to established universities.

While admission to Ashoka University is determined by a student's academic performance, extracurricular involvement, and other holistic considerations, financial aid is solely determined by the family's financial situation. In order to cover the estimated cost of the course, a candidate's ability to pay is evaluated based on the numerous financial resources accessible to their immediate family, including current income, savings, investments, and education loans. The College Board will annually, around the end of April, recognise Indian students who have received a SAT score of 1300 or higher as top performers. The top performers are eligible to receive a full tuition scholarship for the entire duration of their programme of study at Ashoka University. Also, they need to demonstrate significant financial need, which is defined as family income less than INR 8,00,000 per year, and receive a firm offer of admission from Ashoka University. Once the eligibility criteria is met, candidate can receive anywhere from a 25% waiver on tuition to a 100% waiver on the total fee.

It depends on your personal career goals and interests. Ashoka University has a strong reputation in economics, but Christ University has a well-regarded BBA programme. Additionally, consider the following when deciding between Ashoka University and Christ University:
Curriculum: Review the syllabus and course structure at both institutions to determine which programme aligns better with your career aspirations and academic interests. Reputation: Consider the reputation of each institution and the quality of their graduates in the job market. \
Faculty: Research the faculty members at each institution, including their qualifications, research interests, and experience. Career opportunities: Investigate the job prospects and career paths that each programme may offer, including internships, networking opportunities, and post-graduation employment prospects.
Cost: Compare the cost of tuition, fees, and other expenses between the two programs to determine which is more affordable. Ultimately, the best choice will depend on your individual needs and goals.

Ashoka is a liberal arts university. DU offers courses in all streams. There are certain points to consider. If you are getting Tier1 colleges like LSR, Stephen's or Hindu etc. Then skip Ashoka. If not, then for subjects like History, English Sociology, Psychology or Political Science, Ashoka is a good choice. But if your ultimate goal is to prepare for civil services then DU will be better. Ashoka follows the educational pedagogy of the West. If you want it, you better go for it. If you are tired of rote learning. Or you want a change of air. But also consider the fees. Since Ashoka is too new to be trusted, it is not very wise to pay that much for her. DU is affordable. Also note that the NIRF rankings of both universities are
University of Delhi is ranked 13
And Ashoka University is ranked 88
University of Delhi is government university but Ashoka university is private University.

There is no set cutoff as such but the average board percentage lies somewhere around 92% for both the present batches. However, there are people with board scores as low as in the 70s. Ashoka's selection procedure is holistic and lays equal stress on both academics and curriculars. If you have a slightly low score in the boards but are exceptional in curriculars and the admissions team sees that you have potential, you will be selected.

Ashoka University is a private university in sonepat, Haryana. It offers a great culture to the students along with quality education. The fee is quiet high but quiet worth the money. Nevertheless, they provide scholarships and financial aid to deserving students. This program is about 3 year with a total fee around 25 lakhs. Admissions are on entrance and merit basis. Entrance is not very competitive and you can easily get through it. As if, they do not have a minimum cut off.
