Since the aptitude test is conducted for admissions in undergraduate programmes, the difficulty level is quite moderate. Questions from the quantitative aptitude section are moderately difficult but pretty easy for students who have opted for mathematics in classes 11 and 12. The English section is a bit tougher and tricky, however, not extremely difficult.

{Source: B.A. students & alumni}Based on student reviews and feedback, here's a summary of the key advantages and disadvantages:Advantages:* Good Placements: Most students, especially from YIF (Young India Fellowship), MS, and 4th-year batches, get placed in reputed companies like Brain & Company, BCG, Google, and Microsoft. The average salary package is around INR7-11 LPA, with the highest package reaching up to INR25 LPA.* Experienced Faculty: All faculty members hold Ph.D.s from renowned institutions abroad and are highly knowledgeable and supportive.* Infrastructure: The campus has modern facilities, including a well-stocked library, Wi-Fi enabled classrooms and dormitories, sports complex, gym, and swimming pool.* Campus Culture: The university has a lively atmosphere with various events, festivals, and clubs/societies for students to engage in extracurricular activities.* Academically Rigorous Curriculum: The course is designed to promote critical thinking, problem-solving, and research skills, preparing students for careers in academia, research, and industry.Disadvantages:* Limited Placement Opportunities for Non-STEM Courses: While placement rates are good for Computer Science and Economics students, students from other departments like Sociology and Political Science might face challenges finding suitable placements.* Quality of Mess Food: While there are multiple food outlets available, the mess food quality is considered average.Overall, B.A. at Ashoka University Sonipat appears to be a good choice for students seeking a well-rounded education, internship and career opportunities, and a dynamic campus environment. However, students should weigh the pros and cons carefully before making an informed decision.

Firstly, I would advise you to take a look at the courses offered by Ashoka (Ashoka University " Courses) and research psychology degrees offered by other colleges. As you know, Ashoka is a very new university, and so it is very difficult for me to answer (tangibly) "how good" the psychology programme is. I can only speak for myself, and I must say that I am very happy with the courses I've taken thus far. So far, I've taken six courses (including a gateway class, a writing class, two classes on statistics and research methodology, a course on developmental psychology and one clinical psychology class), and I'm currently working on two independent study modules (research work, basically) with two of my professors. My professors have included visiting faculty such as Prof Neil Lutsky from Carleton College (read his piece about Ashoka here: ‘My Debt Has Only Increased: On Teaching at Ashoka’ | Ashoka University) and Prof Annette Taylor from University of San Diego. My academic advisor is available for consultation at all hours of the day, and Ashoka is bringing about 2 more professors on board for the next academic year. If nothing else, the psychology programme at Ashoka is very competitive. If you want to get a better idea of how classes are conducted, or how the major is structured, you can find it here. An even better option is to sit in on a class during campus visits, and assess it for yourself. Hope this helps!

{Source: B.A. students & alumni}Effectiveness of Placement Cell for B.A. Courses at Ashoka University SonipatBased on student reviews and feedback, here's what we've gathered about the effectiveness of the placement cell for B.A. courses at Ashoka University Sonipat:* Good placement record: According to students, the career development office does take care of placements and trains students for internships and jobs. Many students get placed, mostly from Year-In-France (YIF), Master's, and 4th-year programs.* Companies visiting campus: Several companies visit the campus for recruitment purposes, particularly in computer Science and economics. While this may not apply to all departments, some students reported receiving job offers in these areas.* Salary packages: The average salary package offered is reportedly over INR6 Lacs per annum, indicating a decent starting point for graduates. While the placement cell seems to be doing its part in facilitating job opportunities for students, it's essential to note that not all departments may receive equal attention. Additionally, individual results may vary depending on factors such as skills, performance, and interests.Overall, the placement cell appears to be effective in providing opportunities for B.A. students at Ashoka University Sonipat, although it's crucial to maintain realistic expectations and focus on developing a strong skillset and network.
