Nothing is too good; everything is bad here.
Placements: The placement rate is very low, with the highest package being 6 LPA and the lowest 2 LPA. Mahindra is among the top recruiting companies. 100% of students get internships. The top roles offered are Agricultural Engineer, Food Inspector, and Farm Machinery Trainee. The overall placement system is very bad.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is not so good; most of the equipment does not work, and they don’t improve the infrastructure even after charging a high fee for the course. Also, the hostel mess is very bad, and the electricity is very inconsistent. The generator service is also poor.
Faculty: Teachers are qualified, but not all are student-friendly. They do not make the students industry-ready. The exams are pretty difficult for some students and very easy for others, as they can cheat very easily. Some students study hard but score less than those who cheat.
Other: I thought it was good, but after joining, it feels like a waste of money and time to do this course.

Overall Assam University is the best university.
Placements: 58% of students got placed from my course. The highest package is 6 LPA. More than 60% students got internship for this course. Top recruiting companies are Mahindra, etc.
Infrastructure: There are many facilities available in the department such as labs for different purposes, classrooms with white boards, rooms with projectors, a library within the department, and proper Wi-Fi facility. The quality of food available in the mess and canteen is hygienic.
Faculty: The teachers are highly educated. They provide the best knowledge. The teaching quality is very good. The course makes the students industry ready. The pass percentage is 100% as the teaching quality is the best. The difficulty level of the exams is based on the preparation level of the students.

If you have any other options think thrice before going here.
Placements: Very poor placement. No one in my batch got placement. The rate of placement might not even be 10 percent. Placement cell is almost dead especially for School of engineering of the university. I have heard other MBA depth has quite good placements but m not sure about that also. Doubtful.
Infrastructure: Hostels are not livable at times. There are monkeys, snakes, and big lizards (okay, I was fine with it as the whole campus is covered in greenery, and the views you get sometimes are surreal, but still, you’ve got to ensure some safety for students and their belongings). The monkeys used to enter rooms through windows even if you had closed them; they broke the water pipelines so many times I don't even remember. I have seen the waste of water even after there was a shortage. The mess was always a mess. Overall, there was no proper Wi-Fi, water, food, safety, or electricity.
Faculty: The faculty of the Department of Agricultural Engineering is good and knowledgeable. The curriculum was average, with a lack of practical classes. The study materials provided by teachers were sufficient to prepare for exams. The exams were mostly easy. I can't say the same for CSE and ECE.

Review of Assam University, Silchar.
Placements: Our college provides fewer on-campus placements compared to off-campus placements. The diversity of working fields is more as core agricultural engineering placements are very less in India but it is growing. Our college provides various internships with field visits and hands-on practicals.
Infrastructure: Many hostels are available for boys and girls that are marked as BH for boys and GH for girls. Food served in the mess is average and adjustable. Wi-Fi is provided throughout all the hostels.
Faculty: Faculty members in our college are very good and supportive. Our course is for 4 years with 8 semesters. Each semester has internal, mid semester, and end semester examinations. There are common subjects for all three departments in first year that are agricultural engineering, CSE, and ECE.
Other: Our university provides diversity of culture and languages on campus.

I recommend taking admissions to this university because it has good value for money.
Placements: Many companies are coming for placements and offering quite good salary packages to university students. Many students are getting placed in top positions. Apart from on-campus placements, students are trying to get off-campus placements too.
Infrastructure: There are a total of five hostels for boys and six hostels for girls. They provide a gym. There is one central library, and all course-related books can be found in this library. There are at least 2-3 canteens in each department.
Faculty: Our faculty members at this university are quite good. They try their best to provide good quality information to students. There are more than 50 departments and all teachers are well-experienced and qualified.
Other: Assam University is spread over 600 acres and the social life of this university is quite good.
