Candidates willing to take admission in BTech must take the JEE-Main exam, which is also a national-level entrance exam but mainly for admission to BE/ BTech in various government and private universities and colleges.Also, Assam University accepts admission in its BTech course based on the scorecard/ rank of JEE-Main. For lateral entry to BTech, the candidate needs to take Departmental entrance exam which is conducted by Assam University.Candidates must prepare well for the examination described above because only a good rank above the closing rank specified in the merit list released by Assam University will make the applicant eligible for further counselling rounds followed by document verification and fee payment.
