Q:   Can I get admission at BHU without an entrance exam?

A: 

BHU admission to most of the courses is entrance-based, hence it is compulsory to appear for the CUET-UG/ CUET-PG entrance exams to get admission to BHU undergraduate and postgraduate courses. The university also accepts other entrance exam such as NEET, GATE, CAT, etc. for admission to specific courses. Hence, aspirants need to appear for the accepted entrance-exam and also meet the course-specific eligibility for admission at BHU.

Q:   Are Muslims allowed in BHU?

A: 

Any caste, region, religion students can apply for admission to various courses at BHU. Any caste student must fulfill the eligibility criteria and take admission. While selection process, students are not judged basis their religion, they are judged based on their merit. Hence, any student meeting the eligibility criteria can get admission in BHU. BHU does not descriminate people on any basis.

Q:   What is the admission process for the BHU UET?

A: 

BHU accepts CUET-UG scores for admission to several UG courses. Candidates seeking admission to BHU must apply online to register themselves. Follow the step-wise admission process as given below: 

  1. BHU Application Process 2025: The BHU application process is conducted in online mode through the official website of NTA (nta.ac.in) for successful CUET UG application submission, candidates need to pay an application fee. The fee for General category students is INR 750, INR 700 for OBC-NCL/EWS, and INR 650 for SC/ST/PwD/Transgender.
  2. Appear for the CUET Entrance Test: Candidates need to download the admit card by visiting the official website of CUET 2025 and clicking on 'Download CUET Admit Card'.
  3. Register for CUET-UG Counselling through BHU UG Admission Portal:  After the declaration of the CUET result, students seeking admission to BHU undergraduate courses are required to register online for CUET-UG Counselling on the BHU UG admission portal.
  4. Appear for the Counselling Round:  Based on CUET-UG scores, candidates are required to participate in an online counselling process for provisional admission to the course (s). After that, the final seat allotment will be done by BHU.

Q:   What is the last date for BHU admission?

A: 

BHU accepts CUET scores for admission to UG and PG courses. The admissions are over within few weeks of CUET counselling. CUET-PG is usually jeld in March whereas, CUET-UG takes place in May. Students must check the complete schedule for exact dates. CUET applications for the coming year will begin in February and continue till April.

A: 

No, Banaras Hindu University does not accept JEE Main scores for admission to BTech courses. As per the official brochure released by the University, BHU accepts CUET-UG entrance exam scores for BTech admission for the academic year 2025. Candidates with valid CUET-UG scores are then required to appear for a counselling process. 

Q:   Does BHU accept admission through CUET?

A: 

Yes, Banaras Hindu University is accepting CUET score for multiple UG courses, including BA (Hons), BCom (Hons) BSc (Hons), etc. The university is also offering admission to its PG courses based on merit in CUET-PG. Aspirants who meet the eligibility requirements can register on the BHU admission portal for counselling. The admission is done in order of merit based on the normalised score of the CUET (PG) and reservation policy as per the provisions laid down in the BHU PET Information Brochure.

Q:   Q. What is the cutoff of BHU?

A: 

Banaras Hindu University cutoff for a four-year full-time BTech course is based on JEE Main scores followed by JEE Advanced scores and finally by the JoSAA Counselling. BHU accepts JEE scores for admisison to the BTech course. JEE Advanced counselling 2023 was concluded after Round 6. As per the BHU cutoff 2023, the Round 6 closing ranks for BTech course was ranged between 1079 and 24641.

A: 

BHU accepts CUET UG scores for admission to several undergraduate courses, including BA (Hons.) in Social Sciences, BA LLB (Hons.), BSc (Hons.) Mathematics and BSc (Hons.) Biology, among others. CUET cut off for BHU has been released for UG courses. BHU has released the Round 8 Seat Allotment Result and as per the BHU last round cutoff 2023, B Sc (Hons) Agriculture was the most competitive course with a cutoff score of 506.96 for the General category student.
