There are a total of 240 seats available for the BA LLB programme at AMU, which consists of 120 seats at AMU, Aligarh, 60 seats at Malappuram Center and 60 seats at Murshidabad Center.According to the press statement released by the Indian Express, Aligarh University member clarified that the university has never followed a policy of reserving seats for Muslims. “It rather reserves 50% seats for internal students regardless of their religion or caste, ”. 50% seats are reserved for internal candidates, candidates who have passed their previous exam from Aligarh Muslim University are known as Internal Candidates. Remaining 50% seats are available for external candidates. External candidates are those candidate who have passed their previous exam from institutes other than AMU.
